Justin Treadeau likes to complain. A lot. He complains that his constituents do not want to be forcibly injected with an unknown substance with no knowledge of long term side effects. He complains that a peaceful protest is a violent threat to all Canadians, and goes so far as to “take refuge” in the United States, fleeing his own country out of cowardice. He complains that anyone who dares speak against him must be censored. He is right about one thing, though. A deadly plague has indeed fallen over Canada, one that has the potential to take far more Canadian lives than those taken by COVID. As the Canadian trucker protest for freedom continues to spread, so does Trudeau’s reign of terror. Monday, February 14th, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act in response to the truckers protesting their right to bodily autonomy, giving the Canadian government the ability to seize bank accounts without due process. In essence, the Emergencies Act is the invocation of martial law. As COVID numbers continue to fall across the nation, Canada has officially tested positive for fascism.
According to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, the Emergencies Act can be invoked when a situation “seriously threatens the ability of the government of Canada to preserve the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Canada” when the situation “cannot be effectively dealt with under Canadian law”. Trudeau has labeled the protesting truckers as being on the same level as domestic terrorists. The truckers have proudly been flying the Canadian flag for weeks, as they celebrate the union of liberty-minded Canadians against government overreach. Initially branded as a protest against mandatory vaccinations, the protest quickly expanded to a gathering symbolizing the total rejection of all mandates implemented under the guise of COVID, and the so-called “new normal”. They are not terrorists, but they do pose a threat- they serve as a blatant reminder that freedom is always worth fighting for, something that directly contradicts Trudeau’s increasingly apparent desire to implement authoritarian control over Canada.
With the largest collateral inconveniences of the protests including traffic jams and maybe a stray honk or two, Trudeau has decided that the group that he had previously dubbed a “small fringe minority” is more emblematic of Canadian sentiments than he had hoped for. After two years of constant bombardment of state-sponsored COVID propaganda, it is clear that it has failed. Nothing is worth giving up your freedoms for. Trudeau is like any other angry snake when stepped on- he lashes out. He invoked the Emergencies Act. He sent in his police to trample protesters, and to get them on their knees, execution style, as a PR stunt. He also sent in his police to take gasoline from the truckers, and to round up their pets for euthanizing, should their owner be arrested. He remained complacent when the Give Send Go donor list was released, and the donors doxxed, causing many Canadians to fear for their lives amidst politically-motivated retaliation from domestic terrorists on the Left. Trudeau seeks to implement the illusion that he is demonstrating strong leadership, when the reality is that the freedom convoy is a symbol of Trudeau’s weak leadership and even weaker policies, which is why they are such a threat to his regime. Honk honk!
